Who remembers this track from the début album “Runeology”? Reworked with the talented James Williams, this track will be part of a separate download that will form a small EP.
Just testing prior to some open mic’s and some big announcements coming Monday…
When tasked with writing, wording, tracking and performing a song within an hour sometimes the floodgates open and everything comes out. As cathartic as it is a challenge, it’s far from perfect but the seeds are there for a powerful song in the future.
Sitorimon’s latest album “The Terms & Conditions to Unconditional Love” is available to stream and buy via the new Bandcamp website. The 16 tracks showcase all that is fickle, frustrating, blood boiling and unfair about love and life.
“It’s been a real journey getting here. I think the last four years has seen more upheaval and general disasters of the heart than any other period in my life. The album deals with different types of love. Unrequited love, unfulfilled love, empty love, the death of love or a loved one and how through it all you can lose sight of reasons to enjoy and love life.”
Sitorimon’s new single “Dander” is released today and is available for free download over at the all new BandCamp website. The lead single is taken from the upcoming album “The Terms & Conditions to Unconditional Love” which features 16 tracks and will be released next Monday. The single also contains a new instrumental track entitled “Epica” which did not make the album.
Sitorimon says “Dander is a particularly personal song for me. It’s like a train of brain spasms that I’ve had through deaths of relationships -in particular where the connection was not there and yet the other party just doesn’t have the guts or balls to do anything about it and I’m trying perhaps too hard to make something work. It creates an endless spiral that drives me utterly mad and shuts others out. Frustration has to pour out somewhere and that’s part of where this song is born from.”
A full “solo” version of the single “Dander” – the album version of which will be available to download for free from Monday. We’ll let you know where and when!
As part of the countdown celebrations to the new album launch in October, each week Sitorimon will pop up a piano/vocal rendition of each song. The album is far more produced than that but at least you’ll know what it’s like for the stripped down live acoustic shows.
Week 1: Piece by Piece
Sitorimon debuted a new song live for an indie radio station today. The song “Backslap” is completely different on the album but we like to share (Si: and I don’t get much press!!!) so please find the file here to download and keep.
Things are slowly getting there. Now to save up and record some vocals – once done the album should be ready very shortly after for release.
2012 is finally allowing me to get some quality time getting the new album sorted. 12 songs are roughly tracked already and although there’s still a few songs I want to add in and some may not make the final cut yet, it’s finally feeling like things are coming together – albeit in a more electronic way than I originally planned and aimed for.
Below is a sample of the Title track to the album so you can hear that progress is most definitely happening!
