New EP ‘A Doctor’s Call’ and special single ‘Gone’ out now
A new 4-track EP called ‘A Doctor’s Call’ is out now, alongside a standalone single ‘Gone’. Both are inspired by the last two days of my father’s life. He had dementia, a brain injury, and had become very frail. The last time he was admitted to hospital, he didn’t seem to want to continue, but still had elements of his charming and cheeky personality that would spill out. When he took a turn for the worse overnight, I was left with some very difficult decisions to make.
‘A Doctor’s Call’ is an ambient narrative that charts my mental state of making certain decisions, whereas ‘Gone’, which is a live recording and certainly not pitch perfect, is about how I relive making that decision, and many others that led to that day over in my head every day. I’ve released them in case they help someone else find relief, comfort, or solace. Thank you for listening.
‘A Doctor’s Call‘ and ‘Gone (Live)‘ are availabe on Bandcamp.
