Howl

A pound of flesh it lies here
From whence it came I do not know
Some say it descended from the stars
Wrapped in its own eternal decay
And it prays for salvation upon each day
But it gets no salvation from the God which it prays

A present made of malice
A test of devotion it draws you in
And fills up every pore with greed
Upon its touch a cursed heart will seed
And the heart will flail and melt away
Only a void of darkness to stay
The heart will flail and melt away

And I can’t forget that you can’t forget
You swallowed a star from hell

Om Namah Shivaya – find your way home
Om Namah Shivaya – follow the north wind home

So the lifeless Howl went on
A cursed man doomed to roam the plains alone
So encased in all that was wrong
Entombed in a castle of rot and decay
There he was destined to live out his days
Repeating the same hell day after day
Oh what power he would behold
To swallow a star, a world up whole
Mocked the wicked witch of the waste
To realign the star-signs was much in distaste
He hoped they’d never cross swords again
Her eyes they ignited the flame of shame
Please don’t let us cross swords again

And I can’t forget that you can’t forget
You swallowed a star from hell

Om Namah Shivaya – find your way home
Om Namah Shivaya – follow the north wind home

A pound of flesh it lies here
A world encased in a straight jacket of woe
And the hands are tied for the masses now
Eyes wide blind of what they can’t do
There will be no uprising of trust again
No more bridges to plan an escape
Howl was the man that brought them to shame
And I can’t forget that forsaken name
So you can’t forget
That I can’t forget
Howl is the man that brought us to shame

Om Namah Shivaya – find your way home
Om Namah Shivaya – follow the north wind home
Om Namah Shivaya – find your way home
Om Namah Shivaya – follow the north wind home
